Post types: Event, General, and Offer

The three post types and when to reach for each one.

Every card is one of three types. Pick based on what the post is for.

Event

Use for anything happening at a specific time: concerts, markets, games, fundraisers, meetings. Events carry a date and start time, and can add an end time, venue name, address, and a Cost note (for example "Free" or "$10 at door") that renders on the card.

General

Use for anything that isn't tied to a date or a deal: spotlights, announcements, resources, notices. General posts support media, a category, a description, and a call to action. (General replaced the older "Info" type.)

Offer

Use for deals, discounts, and coupons. Offer posts have their own fields — an offer value, business name, promo code, restrictions, and a disclosure — and they can hide themselves automatically after an end date. See Create an Offer post.

Any post type can require an email to open its call-to-action link. See the note on gated links in Set up lead gating.
